Los Angeles: Earlier a star kid and then a
socialite, Paris Hilton is set to work in a documentary for the second time.
This time the documentary is based on her own life, showcasing her ‘rise to
fame’. The documentary will be named as Worldwide
Icon; a term successfully describes Paris who is extensively compared with
Hollywood bombshell Marilyn Monroe.
“Paris Hilton is a modern
day Marilyn Monroe — beautiful, iconized, world famous, shaped by mass media
and misunderstood,” Don Argott and Sheena Joyce has asserted. The director-duo will also shoot the
documentary: “We are thrilled to work with Paris to explore her
complicated relationship with the public, the press and the politics that shape
our perception of a modern celebrity.”
Worldwide Icon will be produced by Hilton, Jamie Freed and 9.14
Pictures. XYZ Films will work as executive producer. Reports are that
shooting for the film will begin this year, late at summer, in Ibiza. Ibiza was
selected for two reasons- its exotic locations and a second home of the
controversy queen. However, this is not the first time Paris Hilton will work
for a documentary based on her life story. On 2008, the hotel heiress was
casted in Paris in France, a
68-minute documentary.
According to sources, Worldwide Icon will showcase her hard work and journey and will
reflect on how limelight has helped her to become the person she is today. ‘It
will also examine the impact Hilton’s image has made on young females today,’
said another source.
