Kolkata: The Exit Polls result, published on Monday after
6 pm, made it absolutely clear that this time Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is
ready for a comeback with his team.
After scores of impediments including Saradha and
Narada scams, Vivekananda flyover collapse and the Photoshop-case involving party
Spokesperson Derek O’Brien against ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), the
unanimous agreement showed Didi’s win with comfortable 187 seats win out of 294
seats. Opposition ally Congress and CPM is in the second place with an average
of 99 seats with them. BJP’s place is feeble- only five seats in the state.
Reports are that the results have given a clear
indication of majority and thus the ruling TMC has expressed their happiness: “We
will wait for May 19 and the actual results. The people of Bengal will bless
Trinamool abundantly. Mamata Banerejee government's peace and communal harmony
will win the hearts and minds of the people of Bengal,” Derek O’Brien, the spokesperson
of TMC has said.
The Exit Polls results had rigorously disheartened
the Opposition parties despite of ‘predictions and alacrity’ by the Election
Commission that had pleased them during the polling process which was carried
away between April 3 and May 4. CPIM MP Ritabrata Banerjee and Congress leader
Abdul Mannan, following the Exit Polls results have expressed hope for ‘imminent’
alliance government formation. Mannan even has claimed people had voted in
favor of the alliance.
