Sri Lanka by a whopping number of nine wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground
in New Delhi on Thursday.
Winning the toss, Sri
Lanka elected to bat first. Dilani Manodara and Chamari Atapattu were Sri

while remaining not out. Sri Lankan player Inoka Ranaweera managed to take the
sole wicket of the innings, before Australia scored 125 runs off just one

Villani was adjudged
‘Player Of The Match’ award and said: “Every game we play now is like a World
Cup final, so we can't afford to drop the ball.”
In another ‘Group B’
match, an uncanny similarity was seen on Thursday as Pakistan defeated
Bangladesh by nine wickets just like the result of the ‘Group A’ match.
In the leaderboard for
‘Group A’, Thursday’s win put Australia into second spot with four points,
while Sri Lanka is tied for the third spot with South Africa with two points
each. New Zealand is at the top of the charts with six points, while Ireland is
at the bottom and is yet to score a point.
Australia is now going
to face Ireland on March 26, while Sri Lanka will take on South Africa on March
28.
