7 People Killed At North Bengal District in Two Accidents

Raiganj: As many as seven people were killed in two separate accidents at North Dinajpur district, leaving two people severely injured. The two mishaps took place on Friday at different areas on National Highway 34 in North Dinajpur district’s Raiganj, said reports.



According to North Dinajpur district police sources, the first accident caused death of four people who were stranded at a tea stall beside the NH34 at Itahar around 5.30 pm in the evening. The loaded truck was reported of a break failure that after hitting the four persons mowed down the tea stall.

A senior police officer informed the second accident that hit three persons to death who were riding a motorcycle. A passenger bus had hit the motorcycle, again on the NH 34. The area where the accident took place was reported under the Itahar policed station area.
