A former
woman employee had allegedly reported against R. K. Pachauri of being sexually
harassed by the latter. Two days after The Energy and Resources Institute
(TERI) announced the appointment of R.K. Pachauri as its executive vice-chairman;
a former woman employee has come out with a detailed statement of the
harassment she allegedly suffered at his hands while she was employed under
him.
Requested to
keep her anonymity, the sufferer had stated she was working in the TERI
Magazine and her work profile required regular interaction with Pauchauri. Vrinda
Grover, the lawyer appointed by the victim referred to Pauchauri as “serial
sexual harasser” who used to call the woman repeatedly with assignment excuses.
The woman complained against Pauchauri saying that he used to call her in
sexually loaded nicknames and made sexually loaded remarks.
In an
affidavit filled against Pauchauri in Delhi High Court for this sexual
harassment case had made a hard hit. Pauchauri said TERI Officials that the matter
is an out-of-court settlement as the complaint is not correct. Later this day,
the court had sentenced Pauchauri enter the office only after permission from
the sessions court.
