Nimrat Kaur Bags Her Second American TV Series

After a successful stint in American television series Homeland, Nimrat Kaur has bagged yet another TV series. She is going to star in the upcoming season of the American TV series Wayward Pines.
This is Nimrat’s second appearance in an American TV series after she starred in the recurring role of ‘Tasneem Qureshi’ in the fourth season of the American political thriller TV series ‘Homeland’. Her portrayal of a member of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence earned her critical acclaim.
Nimrat is going to star as Rebecca, the wife of Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) in the second season of Wayward Pines. It is going to be premiered in mid-2016. The TV series revolves around US Secret Service agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon) as he unravels the mystery surrounding his unanticipated arrival in the small town of Wayward Pines, Idaho following a devastating car accident. The series covers themes of isolation, bucolic Americana, time-displacement, man v/s nature, human evolution, and cryonics. The first season has received mostly favorable reviews from critics. The plot episode was directed by Indian-American film director M. Night Shyamalan.

The 33-year-old actor gained nationwide attention with her break-through performance in the 2013 film The Lunchbox. She recently starred in Airlift, opposite Akshay Kumar. Since stepping foot on Bollywood, she has set herself as a powerhouse performer. Although she doesn’t do a dozen films, but her films have made quite an impact and has carved a niche for herself, and that is what she is headed towards to do in America.
