Members of American
girl group Fifth Harmony, which is one of the most leading groups of recent
times, have hinted on the group’s split in the near future, sending shockwaves
to millions of fans worldwide.
Group
member Normani Kordei recently said, “In the beginning, we all had intentions
of pursuing solo careers. I’m still an individual, as well as the others,
meaning we have slightly different visions and aspiration”. However, Kordei
further explained that in order to do that, they need to strive more first and
be successful as a group. “We have a ton of work [to do] and much more to
accomplish as Fifth Harmony before that happens,” she added.
Another
group member Camila Cabello has been making headlines because of her solo stint
with Shawn Mendes for the song “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” As a previous
report noted, this move caused a backlash from the fans. “They turned me (doing
the song) into a conspiracy theory. We literally just wrote a song backstage
& it ended up becoming something awesome. It wasn’t a career move that I
carefully planned out,” she explained. Cabello also slammed the breakup claims
saying that their sophomore album is now underway. Rumors are also running that
another member Lauren Jauregui is also heading towards a solo career.
Fifth Harmony was
formed on the 2nd season of ‘The X-Factore USA’ in 2012, and has
since then making roars internationally with their hits – ‘Miss Movin’ On’,
‘Boss’, ‘Sledgehammer’, ‘Worth it’, etc. The group has won 1 People’s Choice
Award, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, among others. The group’s other members are
Dinah Jane Hansen and Ally Brooke Hernandez.
