French Government Confers Honor To Sajid Nadiadwala

Paris: Bollywood producer and director Sajid Nadiadwala will be conferred with the Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et Lettres (Knight in the National Order Arts and Letters) for his contribution to the Indian film industry in his 30-year-old career through his movies and the talent that he has introduced.


The honor will be conferred on him at a special ceremony that will take place in New Delhi in the coming weeks. The French government’s honor to Nadiadwala will also help boost the India-France relations
This is the second international honor for the filmmaker. In 2013, the Italian territory of Puglia's Official Tourist Board, along with Apulia Film Commission, dedicated a travel itinerary to him called the Sajid Nadiadwala Housefull Itinerary in Puglia in Italy.
 The itinerary starts in the north of Puglia in the beautiful headland of Gargano and ends at the sea scenario of Salento in the south, going through the green land of Trulli in the centre of the region.
The 50-year-old started his career as a production assistant in his uncle's production house before establishing his own production company called Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd. It was in 1992 that he produced his first film Zulm Ki Hukumat.
Some of his most notable film as a producer includes Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Mujhse Shaddi Karogi, Heyy Baby, Anjaana, Anjaani, The Housefull Trilogy, Highway, Two States, among others.
Nadiadwala made his directorial debut with the 2014 film Kick.
His upcoming films as a producer are Baaghi: A Rebel For Love, Rangoon, Dishoom And Housefull 3, all expecting a 2016 release.
