Original Baywatch Stars Pamela Anderson And David Hasselhoff To Appear In 2017 Baywatch Film

Miami: Original Baywatch TV series stars Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff will make appearances in its 2017 film version.

The duo will join Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Priyanka Chopra, Hannibal Buress, Belinda Peregrín, Izabel Goulart and Charlotte McKinney for the film, which is being directed by Set Gordon. The two stars — 48-year-old Anderson and 63-year-old Hasselhoff— are the only two cast members from the original series to sign on for roles in the movie at this point. The 2017 film offers a big-screen take on the television series that originally premiered in 1989.
The original Baywatch cast included Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson, Shawn Weatherly, Billy Warlock, Erika Eleniak, Peter Phelps, Brandon Call and Holly Gagnier. The series was initially not a success and was cancelled after a single season. Plans were made, however, to move Baywatch into first-run syndication and, in 1991, Baywatch returned to the airwaves where it continued for a full decade, bringing in new cast members like Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson. The show also received a short-lived spinoff, Baywatch Hawaii.
Johnson, who is also one of the producers of the film, took to Instagram to break the news of Anderson’s inclusion in the film. He posted a photo of himself with Anderson, along with the caption, “She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome Home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!”
Posting a picture of himself with Hasselhoff on set, Johnson wrote on Instagram, “In the 80’s he drove the coolest car on the planet. In the 90’s he dominated slo-mo running on the beach with the most successful TV show of all time. And today he’s simply —Still the f’n man.”
The movie will feature Johnson as Hasselhoff’s original character, Mitch Buchannon, with Efron playing Matt Brody (originally played by David Charvet), Daddario playing Summer Quinn (originally played by Nicole Eggert), Chopra playing the main antagonist, Victoria Leeds, a role originally written for a man and Hadera playing Stephanie Holden (originally played by Alexandra Paul). There’s no word on the roles Anderson and Hasselhoff will play in the movie.

  1. "Original Baywatch stars"

I didn't know Pamela was in Baywatch in 1989...I think you meant to say Erika and Shawn Weatherly, hell even Vanessa Madeline Angel was more original than Pamela.
