Diva’ni, the first fashion brand of India, inspired and
themed by the Bollywood industry, is all set to open its first store in
Pakistan soon. The neighboring country will get the first Diva’ni store in
Lahore next month.
Diva’ni, the first cinema-inspired fashion brand by brought
by Yash Raj Films and KBSH Private Limited on 2013, the heritage fashion house
is hailed to New Delhi’s fashion hub-Karol Bag. Reports are that the launch of
Diva’ni store in Pakistan is expected by the experts to bridge the long-laid
gap and will be a ‘manifest of Pakistan and India’s common heritage across
culture, cuisine, values, music, films, fashion, and sport.’
The creative director of Diva’ni, Sanya Dhir, said in a
statement that, “We are exceptionally excited to be launching in Pakistan as
our region shares an appreciation for traditional art and craft, which is the
heritage that Diva’ni embraces.”
Filtz Fahion, the fashion brand that will work as partners
of Diva’ni in Pakistan, said that there are more than one reason for Diva’ni to
be in Pakistan; obviously noting the resemblances that both of the county have
in them.
Diva’ni, popular for styling and designing for stars like
Sridevi and Anushka Sharma, will be seen in the upcoming Hindi movie Sultan. Sultan will feature a bridal
outfit adorned by Anushka Sharma crafted with traditional chikankaari with
zardozi, kundan, gota and dabka. ‘It also boasts the Mughal art of
rendering delicate patterns in pristine white threads on fine mulls and
muslin,’ asserted in a statement by the brand in their promotional pages of
social media.
Sharma will be dressed in the bridal collection of
Diva’ni’s ‘Lafz’. “The traditional outfit which is ivory chikankari is
beautiful. Diva’ni team did a fantastic job in designing and executing it,” the
actress said while talking about her looks in the film.
