Pakistani Band Mizmaar to Record New Track Jogi with Subha Mudgal

New Delhi: After Abida Parveen and Salim-Sulaiman’s Noor E Ilahi, the Indo-Pak collaborative musical journey seems to take a step further with Jogi. Reports are that Pakistani pop rock band Mizmaar will soon join hands with veteran Indian singer Subha Mudgal to record their latest track Jogi. The idea of the collaboration was said to ‘juxtapose the musical style of Mizmaar and Subha Mudgal.’

Jogi has featured Mizmaar’s new lead vocalist Asad Rasheed, who is a dotting vocal artist, comfortable singing in both eastern and western styles. Jogi is set to release on March 2017.
The leading member of the Pakistani band, Kashan Admani, confident about their collaboration, has said that, “Whenever you collaborate with someone from across the border it sends out a bigger message.” “Shubha Mugdal is a Padma Shree winner. She was kind enough to lend her vocals to our track,” he added when asked about their experience to work with the famous classical singer.

Mizmaar, which was found in 2000 by Admani, had come to fame in 2003 with their track ‘Kash.’ The pop rock band, which always made a song with a particular cause, is working for Jogi to bring on the right path to draw out peace in the world.
Sources said that the video of Jogi had almost completed shooting and recording and will release in Indian and Pakistan together. “It is a performance-based video. Part of it was shot in Delhi where Shubha ji recorded her vocals. Part of it was filmed here in Pakistan,” said a member of Mizmaar.
