Talking about the judges panel,

This is the fifth straight season that Karan is going to judge the show, while
it will be Ganesh’s second season, who debuted last season. Manish Paul will
continue to host the season, which is his fifth season in a row
As for the format of the show, a
source told an entertainment portal that each week the contestants will have to
give out fresh performances. “Interestingly, this time round each celeb
contestant will have to throw in two fresh performances in a week. Reason being
if a particular celeb performed during Saturday's episode, and stayed on the
bench on Sunday, his or her fans refrained from watching the show on a Sunday.
They want to see their favourite celeb perform both the days. How they will
manage to pull off such a task, is what the creatives will have to work on,” a
source said.
Previous celebrity winners of the
show includes Mona Singh (Season 1), Prachi Desai (Season 2), Baichung Bhutia
(Season 3), Meiyang Chang (Season 4), Gurmeet Choudhary (Season 5), Drashti
Dhami (Season 6), Ashish Sharma (Season 7) and Faisal Khan (Season 8).
Jhalak
Dikhla Jaa is based
on the international TV series Strictly
Come Dancing, which is also known as Dancing
With The Stars in most countries. Currently the format has been licensed to
over 50 international versions.
