the 24 men who were lined up there with similar stature. Sources said that the
fourth person, who was part of the assault, is still absconding. The

deputy jailor.
A person, who is accused of some crime and is in judicial
custody, has to go through an identification parade before to be produced to
the court. The accused of the salt lake crime will be produced to the
magistrate on Tuesday. “If the court gives us custody now, we will be able to
interrogate them further and find out the whereabouts of the fourth accused. We
will file the charge sheet as early as possible,” said the deputy commissioner
of the detective department in the Bidhannagar commissionerate, Kankar Prasad
Barui.
Police officers investigating the case noted that there are
times when the assaulted hesitates to identify the accused who are at police
custody. However, the 24-year-old woman immediately identified the criminals
making it easy for the police to continue the investigation process. The three
people, with the absconding one, had gang raped the woman at a car in Sector V,
Salt Lake and then dumped her to a deserted street in Baisakhi more area of
Salt Lake. Bidhannagar police identified all four and arrested three of them
