WBJEE 2016 Result Declared: Yashvardhan Tirwani Tops The Exam

Kolkata: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced the results of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) on June 5th, 2016. Yashvardhan Didwania from DPS Rajarhat tops the exam followed by Abhishek Datta and Arpan Konar.


The students can know their results from 4 PM at the official website, www.wbjeeb.nic.in
The exam is conducted for admissions into Engineering, Architecture, Pharmaceutical, Medicine etc. courses in various colleges of West Bengal.
The board had successfully conducted the written examination for registered candidates on May 17, 2016 across various cities of West Bengal, which included Tripura, Agartala, Assam and Silchar.
The exam was conducted in four subjects: Biological Sciences (100 marks), Mathematics (100 marks), Physics (75 marks) and Chemistry (75 marks).
WBJEE is a common entrance examination conducted for taking admission to undergraduate programmes in Medical, Dental, Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes.
Boys have performed better than girls this year. Among the top ten merit list holders, there were no girls. “Congratulations to all the future engineers who succeeded in WBJEE. You are the future of this country. Make India and Bengal proud,” West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.

  • Log on to www.wbjeeb.nic.in
  • Enter your roll number
  • Result will appear on the screen
  • Save the result and take a print out for future reference.
As per EXIN Time’s knowledge, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed as West Bengal Board of Examinations for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges in the year 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges of the State of West Bengal. The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
