Mumbai: Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket sensation, has now
planned to shift all his attention off field and sing a song for Premier Futsal
League. The music number will be composed by A.R. Rahman, another legend in his
field. The duo will work for the official anthem of Premier Futsal, starting on
July 15, EXIN Times reported.
“I’m under more pressure than on the field as I’m sitting
next to a person I hugely admire. Many of my childhood memories have a
connection to the tunes of this man. I know how to prepare for cricket, but I
have no clue about a recording session,” said Kohli on Monday where both of the
legends were present to promote the Premier Futsal League.
EXIN Times sources have asserted that the official anthem
is titled as Naam Hai Futsal and will
be released within the next two weeks, featuring Kohli in it. The recording is
under process for the last one week, said Rahman. He also asserted that, “Virat’s
portion will be a rap. I will make it easier for him.” Kohli is the brand
ambassador of the league.
The Premier Futsal League is a tiny version of full time
football matches. Futsal will be played by a five-member team while each match
will be of only 20-minutes duration. Futsal will start on July 15 and will
continue till 24th of the month. Futsal is termed as a
‘revolutionary step’ in the gaming world with a global flavor in it. The league
will be played by eight teams across the country consisting 56 international
players and will be promoted by Xavier Britto of Indev Group. Former footballer Luis Figo
was declared as the president of the first Premier Futsal League in India,
according to EXIN Times reports.
