Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has
ordered to investigate the results of the seven top scoring intermediate
board’s students of Friday. The state education minister Ashok Chaudhury has
admitted the lapse. “I agree that there has been some lapse. But you can't
raise questions over the whole examination system due to a couple of such
cases,” he added.
‘Perturbed’ with the issue,
Chaudhury urged the investigative team to ask the students that they must prove themselves
as genuine candidates and had earned the huge numbers in their examinations. Also,
BSEB has ordered for retaking of the examination following a television
interview aired early this week. Termed as ‘sting,’ the video showed that the
candidates are struggling to answer the basic questions from their syllabuses.
The students of class 12th Boards Examination,
Ruby Rai and Saurabh Shresth, who scored top from arts and science stream
respectively, was seen in the TV channel video answering ridiculously when
asked about their chosen subject and few chemistry equations. Rai, an Arts
student, said that she studied ‘prodikal science’ to mean political science.
Shresth has answered aluminum as the most reactive element while it is less
active.
According to reports, both of the students are resident of
Bihar’s Hajipur. While Ruby has scored 444 out of 500 marks in her intermediate
exams, Saurabh bagged 485 out of 500 marks.
