Coastal Guard’s Rescue Operation Found Most Fishing Trawlers and Fishermen in Bay of Bengal

Kolkata: All seven fishing trawlers which were missing from Wednesday morning due to heavy thunderstorms and a hit of cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal, was found by the coast guards. The trawlers had as many as 118 fishermen on board.
Details of the fishermen were provided to the coast guard officials by the Kakdwip fishermen's association.


As the latest news updates have revealed, coast guard officials has received a complaint from the fisheries department about the lost fishing trawlers; the officials started a search operation immediately since then. Also, of the seven trawlers, four boats returned safely to the harbor. One was found with engine malfunction and was located by Coast Guard ship Raziya Sultana.
The coast guard officials have deployed two Coast Guard ship and a Dornier maritime reconnaissance aircraft in the rescue operation which found the remaining boats later. 
Reports are that the Met Office had no alert message for the fishermen, however deep depression and cyclonic storm were in the weather forecast. All The trawlers went for fishing to the Kakdwip Steamer Ghat.
